Solukon will present its new SFM-AT850 automated depowdering system for the first time at Formnext 2026, on booth D58 in Hall 12.0. Designed for complex metal parts produced by laser powder bed fusion, the system will replace the SFM-AT800-S and SFM-AT1000-S once current batches have been delivered.
The SFM-AT850 accepts parts weighing up to 1,000 kg with dimensions of up to 650 x 650 x 800 mm, yet its overall footprint is smaller than that of the SFM-AT800-S. Its front-top loading concept, already used on the SFM-AT1000-S and SFM-AT1500-S, folds the upper door frame up with the roof so large and heavy parts can be loaded at the height of the rotation plate. An optional long swivel arm accommodates parts up to 1,050 mm tall.
Solukon is also unveiling the SFM-AT850-E, a version with ultrasonic excitation. The company says the method is particularly well suited to highly intricate lattice structures, such as those in medical parts, and to very long internal channels. New features include two additional compressed-air and two additional protective-gas connections on the rotation plate, a large, repositionable portrait-format display and enlarged glove ports. The machine software adds user levels with different access rights, and remote maintenance will be available on the SFM-AT850 for the first time.
