From current industry topics and innovative applications to new solutions: Discover what is shaping Additive Manufacturing today at our showcases and pavilions.
Showcase Postprocessing
For the first time this year, Formnext is presenting a dedicated Postprocessing Showcase, putting the spotlight on a key aspect of Additive Manufacturing. Postprocessing is a crucial part of the additive process chain, with downstream processes playing a major role in determining the quality, functionality, and suitability of manufactured parts for industrial applications.
At Hall 11.0, Booth F34, the showcase uses real exhibits to illustrate how these individual process steps work together. Along a continuous process chain, it demonstrates how additively manufactured raw parts are transformed into functional end products through a range of machining, finishing, quality assurance, and measurement processes.
Developed in collaboration with leading companies and experts from the fields of Additive Manufacturing and postprocessing, the showcase offers a hands-on look at the crucial role postprocessing plays in creating the final part.

Complementing the showcase, our Guided Tours offer deeper insights by introducing you to selected technologies, applications, and real-world use cases directly at the exhibitors’ booths.
VDMA Showcase Additive4Industry
Additive Manufacturing at VDMA is a network of top-class experts from all areas of the additive engineering and manufacturing chain within the mechanical engineering association VDMA e.V.
The VDMA Showcase Additive4Industry and the joint booth provide a platform for exchange and networking on current topics related to AM, including innovative mechanical engineering, industrialization, and market developments. “AM for Industrial Applications” is the focus of the showcase: In Hall 12.0, Booth G90/G91, member companies will present Additive Manufacturing solutions for various industries. Application examples demonstrate potential savings in the development, production, and implementation of AM solutions.
Additive Manufacturing processes enable, for example, the optimized design of machine components with complex internal structures and high precision. Further benefits include functionally optimized lightweight design, cost-effective production of small batches, and shorter development and production times.

BE-AM I Built Environment Additive Manufacturing
Led by scientists at Technical University of Darmstadt, BE-AM | Built Environment Additive Manufacturing brings together researchers and users interested in 3D Printing in construction. The network discusses and connects the disciplines architecture, civil engineering and manufacturing automation.
The showcase and symposium at Formnext are the highlights of the year. At the BE-AM Showcase, PROGRESS MASCHINEN & AUTOMATION (Hall 11.0, Booth E47) and other companies will present their solutions and applications.
BE-AM Showcase: Hall 11.0-F49
The BE-AM Symposium will take place on 18 November from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM in the Portalhaus, Room Transparenz. Speakers include MX3D (Hall 12.0-E119). Further information is available here or at beam.de.
Formnext Awards Showcase
