26 – 31 October, Tokyo/Japan
JIMTOF 2026
JIMTOF is one of the major international trade fairs for machine tools and advanced manufacturing technologies. From 26 to 31 October, it brings together the international manufacturing industry at Tokyo Big Sight. This year, Formnext will also be represented for the first time as part of its new cooperation with JIMTOF. On 27 October, a dedicated Formnext stage program will bring together international and Japanese perspectives on Additive Manufacturing and current industry developments.
16 November, Frankfurt/Germany
AM Innovation and Standards Summit at Formnext 2026
The AM Innovation and Standards Summit brings together representatives from industry, standards bodies, and the public sector as part of Formnext 2026. The focus is on aligning civilian and military standards to unlock the potential of Additive Manufacturing more efficiently. Through keynotes and interactive formats, participants gain insights into real-world applications and receive practical impulses for the standards-based use of AM.
17 November, Frankfurt, Germany
Formnext Defence Summit
The Formnext Defence Summit is a new event format taking place alongside Formnext, bringing together decision-makers from the military, government, and the Additive Manufacturing industry. The summit will focus on forward-looking strategies that leverage AM technologies to strengthen defence capabilities, security, and industrial resilience across Europe and NATO member states.

At the annual highlight for the Additive Manufacturing industry over 800 AM providers will showcase solutions along the entire process chain to more than 38,000 visitors. In addition, an outstanding supporting program offers knowledge transfer and AM know-how for future oriented production.

NCAM 2027 – Norwegian Conference for Additive Manufacturing
NCAM 2027 – Norwegian Conference for Additive Manufacturing brings together industry, researchers and technology experts in Bergen to explore how additive manufacturing can move from proven capability to scalable industrial capacity. With the theme “From Capability to Capacity,” the conference will address qualification and reliability, resilient supply chains, and the technologies and strategies needed to scale AM and strengthen industrial competitiveness.
12 - 13 May, Vaasa/Finland
FAME Symposium 2027
FAME Symposium 2027 is Finland’s leading international two-day event on Additive Manufacturing, held 12–13 May 2027 in Vaasa (pre-event 11 May). Under the theme “Additive Manufacturing as a Strategic Manufacturing Technology”, industry leaders and researchers share business perspectives, technical solutions and real-world benefits to accelerate AM adoption. The program includes keynotes, technical talks, posters, exhibitor stands, lab visits and a networking dinner.
