HP Additive Manufacturing Solutions (HP AM) has embraced in the roll out of the latest iteration of the now decade-old Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) technology.
Designed to operate without specialized infrastructure (extraction systems, three-phase power, etc) the MJF 1200 is ‘designed to bring industrial MJF technology into every workspace’.
Target markets include industrial users, where the ability to validate designs without changing workflows will be appreciated, along with healthcare where the company is seeking to facilitate the integration of advanced manufacturing capabilities closer to the point of treatment.
Featuring a 12-litre build volume and a host of automations simplifying everything from build preparation to part unpacking, the MJF 1200 will ship with Magics Print for HP — part of the CO-AM Ecosystem led by Materialise. User will initially be limited to running the Evonik-sourced HP 3D HR PA 12 with the promise of further materials ‘after launch’.
After launch could be some time however, with the system not set for commercial release until early 2027. Would-be users will have to hurry up and wait before they get access to MJF parts in the same room as their workstations and coffee machines.
