Thanks to this synergy, ITP Aero has been able to accelerate the development of new materials, validate its own internal specifications, and advance towards the industrialisation of complex components for aircraft engines, such as the Tail Bearing Housing (TBH) for the Rolls-Royce UltraFan® demonstrator aero engine — the foundation for the next generation of high-thrust turbofan engines.
Beyond the Solutions Centres, the Aeronautics Advanced Manufacturing Center (CFAA) also plays a key role in various R&D&I projects arising from this collaboration. The CFAA is a partnership model promoted by public administrations, universities and private industry to develop and validate advanced manufacturing technologies for the aerospace sector. Located in Zamudio (Bilbao, Spain), ITP Aero, alongside Danobat group, leads its Business Association (AIE), which comprises 58 partners, including Renishaw.
