With the help of showcases and pavilions we help you to get a bundled overview of relevant, current questions and topics.
VDMA Showcase Additive4Industry
Additive Manufacturing at VDMA is a network of topclass experts from all areas of the additive engineering and manufacturing chain within the mechanical engineering association VDMA e.V.
The VDMA Showcase Additive4Industry and the joint booth will be available for exchange and networking on current topics related to AM, e.g. industrialization, training and market developments. The topic of enablers takes center stage at the showcase: In hall 12.0, booth B01, companies will be demonstrating what is possible through the use of AM. Application examples from the areas of »mobility, tools and processes«, which cannot be realized with traditional manufacturing processes, or only with great effort.
AM processes enable the optimized design of machine components through complex internal structures with particular precision. In addition, special lightweight construction, production in small quantities and in the shortest possible time and cost efficiency in development are clear advantages of Additive Manufacturing.

AM Art Space
In cooperation with SUTOSUTO
As in the last year, the artist duo SUTOSUTO will once again be part of Formnext with their impressive artworks: This includes both the design of the Formnext Award trophies and their presence in the special exhibition of the Formnext Awards.
SUTOSUTO are two designers, painters, draftsmen, digital artists and sculptors who like to transcend boundaries, transform their creations and use a wide variety of materials, working and production methods to realize their joint art. Their works are characterized by a refined balance between aesthetics and concept, encouraging the viewer to think beyond the boundaries of conventional perception. At the AM Art Space, space is given to these immersive and multidimensional experiences, and for the second time, interested visitors can marvel at impressive sculptures from the 3D printer, among other things.
In their own studio in Hamburg, the two artists have, in addition to the obligatory painting, woodworking and varnishing rooms, also set up a 3D Printing workshop, which is constantly being expanded. In addition to large-format canvases, they also create impressive sculptures, some of which are made from upcycled plastic. The entire process, from concept, modeling, printing and reworking to the finished sculpture, is realized in-house.
