RISE Research Institutes of Sweden AB

About us

RISE is the research institute and innovation partner of Sweden, with a mission to drive sustainable growth, strengthen business competitiveness, and promote an innovative development of society. We pursue this through international collaboration with industry, academia, and the public sector. As an independent, state-owned research institute, RISE combines deep expertise with access to more than 130 testbeds and demonstration environments, enabling the development of future-proof technologies, products, and services.

In line with our mission, we run the Application Center for Additive Manufacturing (AM Center) together with partners from industry and academia.

Here, you can collaborate with independent experts to refine your ideas, tackle challenges with other companies facing similar obstacles, and experiment with different materials, technologies, and processes before investing in your own AM equipment. By uniting research expertise with relevant suppliers of services, technology, and materials, we’ve established a robust national platform designed to assist you, regardless of your position in the value chain.

The expertise at AM Center spans everything from business models and design for AM to material selection, manufacturing processes, testing, verification, and industrialisation. We provide the knowledge and guidance you need, exactly when you need it.

The technologies available at AM Center include PBF, DED, MBJ, Hirtization, HIP, SLA, SLS, FDM, and large-scale robotic 3D printing.
