About us

MMP TECHNOLOGY®

High Precision Control of Surface Roughness

Our super-finishing process, MMP TECHNOLOGY® (Micro Machining Process), utilizes a unique physical-catalytic mechanical treatment of parts. The MMP TECHNOLOGY® process selectively filters the surface roughness to achieve our customer’s specific objectives (a 1.6 µm / 63 µin Ra or 0.254µm / 1 µm Ra) while maintaining the parts' geometry.

MMP TECHNOLOGY® achieves these unparalleled results through a detailed analysis of the initial surface to determine the treatment parameters with incomparable homogeneity and reproducibility.

This process is highly effective on virtually every alloy, regardless of hardness. MMP TECHNOLOGY® can treat parts made from any manufacturing method, including forging, casting, machining, EDM/ECM, and additive layer methods (DMLS, SLM, etc.).

We started to finishing parts produced using Additive Manufacturing, such as Powder Bed, DMLS, EBEAM or Binder Jet, etc. over 20 years.

Parts made by AM can pose a particular challenge, due to the in-homogeneity in their roughness levels. MMP’s unique process is uniquely suited to overcoming this challenge.

The MMP TECHNOLOGY® is one of the most used finishing technologies by the biggest users of AM in the USA, Europe, India, and Japan.

Other markets we serve are: Aeronautical and Space, Energy, Motorsports, Cutting Tools, Stamps-Forges-and Dies, Injection Molds, or the Medical Field to name a few.
