AMAREA Technology GmbH
About us
The new MMJ ProX Series - Multi-Material 3D printers, which can process multiple and different high-performance materials in a single step and combine them into highly functional components, offer the possibility of producing components and entire assemblies with complex geometries and integrated functions.
AMAREA Technology, as a spin-off of the Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems IKTS, was founded in 2023 and is based in Dresden, Germany. Our core business is the development and distribution of Multi-Material 3D printers and printing materials for applications that rely on high-performance materials. In addition to demanding areas such as aerospace, semiconductors, electronics, energy supply or medicine, we address all industries, including e.g. jewellery and interior manufacturers who are looking for a 3D printer that is independent of material classes and would like to see the diversity of materials combined on a single system.
Premium selection or premium custom made - Materialize your ideas.
We offer a wide portfolio of materials in all material classes, from stainless steel to titanium, tungsten carbide, alumina, zirconia and silicon carbide, hardmetals, cermets, copper, IN718, for either mono or multi-material applications. In addition to these materials, our Multi Material Jetting technology has also proven its capabilities in processing composite materials such as metal-ceramic and ceramic-polymer.
BYOP service
Our BYOP (Bring Your Own Powder) service is customised. Through a collaborative consultation process and thorough testing, AMAREA Technology can develop exclusive printing materials using customers' own powders to provide a unique and customised solution that meets our customers' specific requirements. Our expertise in research and development in the field of additive manufacturing, and ceramics in particular, makes AMAREA Technology an attractive choice for your innovation projects in the field of high-performance materials.

BYOP Service [Bring Your Own Powder]
At AMAREA Technology, we understand that stagnation is a setback. That is why we strive to offer our customers the utmost flexibility when it comes to printing materials. Despite having an already extensive portfolio of printable materials, we also offer BYOP - the “Bring Your Own Powder” service to our customers. Through a collaborative consultation process and thorough testing, AMAREA Technology can develop exclusive printing materials using the customer's own powders, ensuring a unique and customized solution that meets their specific needs.

MMJ ProX Series - Multi-Material 3D Printers - Combine Material Properties
AMAREA Technology is showcasing for the first time at Formnext 2024 the MMJ ProX Series, a state-of-the-art multi-material additive manufacturing system that opens new possibilities for manufacturers to produce highly functional components and assemblies using a single manufacturing platform. Learn more at Formnext about how our technology can advance your production pipeline.
Unique Capabilities for Additive Manufacturing with Multiple High-Performance Materials
With the MMJ ProX Series, AMAREA Technology introduces for the first time a modular concept of a multi-material 3D printer. This additive manufacturing system is designed to process multiple materials, including different material classes, simultaneously—perfect for the era of miniaturization and functionalization of components. Thanks to the integrated 3D profile sensor, the printing process is automatically parameterized and monitored, ensuring consistently high quality.
At the heart of the MMJ ProX Series is its 3D printing technology, currently supporting up to six print heads. These allow the combination of different materials in a single printing process.
Entry into the world of multi-material 3D printing begins with two print heads, with users having the flexibility to upgrade to up to six print heads. This flexibility is especially crucial when combining materials for functional integration or property combinations.
Visit AMAREA Technology at Formnext 2024 to learn more about innovative solutions in multi-material 3D printing and the modular MMJ ProX system. You can find us in Hall 11.1 | Booth C48.
