Formnext 2025 now under way, offering another impressive showcase of AM’s industrial potential

18 Nov 2025

Formnext 2025 has opened its doors in Frankfurt am Main. From now until 21 November, 803 exhibitors representing the elite of Additive Manufacturing solution providers will be presenting their latest breakthroughs on around 50,000 m² of gross exhibition space. This year’s trade fair turned in an impressive first day, featuring throngs of visitors, exciting world premieres, and a program that showcased the diversity of AM along the entire process chain.

With that, Formnext is sure to consolidate its position as the world's most important trade fair for AM and modern industrial production. AM has long since arrived in everyday industrial life. This year, Formnext and its exhibitors will thus use an array of real-world applications to demonstrate even more clearly the concrete added value that Additive Manufacturing offers in numerous industrial sectors and the specific business opportunities this affords.

"Thanks to the countless innovations waiting to be discovered at Formnext, our event gives every industrial company the chance to explore the diverse possibilities of AM and profit from them in the literal sense of the word," says Sascha F. Wenzler, Vice President of Formnext at Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH.

At Formnext 2025, the international elite of the AM industry will join innovative start-ups and numerous renowned industrial companies in presenting many world premieres along the entire AM process chain – from design, production, and materials to post-processing and quality assurance. Visitors will be able to experience the latest developments first-hand and gain important knowledge on how to use this pioneering technology to develop and launch new products, improve existing ones, or optimize their own production.

Diverse insights into technologies, trends, and applications

To mark its 10th year, Formnext – the world's largest trade fair for Additive Manufacturing and the next generation of production – has once again expanded its event program. In addition to established formats such as the stage program, numerous special shows, the Formnext Awards, the partner country, and specialized seminars and events, 2025 will also feature focused tours of the trade fair, live AM shows, and much more.

The lecture program on the three stages will offer visitors a wide range of opportunities for both professional networking and exchanging new ideas. Renowned experts will discuss current and future applications, technologies, and overarching trends in AM and the manufacturing industry at large. The Formnext Awards will be presented across six different categories, including innovative start-ups, sustainable business ideas, pioneering technologies, and people who have made a valuable contribution to the AM industry. Just like last year, the public will be able to cast their votes online for the respective finalists (who will also be presenting at Formnext) until noon on Thursday, 20 November. All the finalists and their submissions can also be seen on the Formnext website. The winners will be announced at the award ceremony, which is scheduled for 4:20 pm on 20 November.

Partner country: Spain

This year’s partner country, Spain, presents itself at Formnext 2025 with numerous innovative exhibitors. Besides being home to a very dynamic and rapidly growing AM industry, its location on the Iberian Peninsula enables it to serve as a bridge between Europe and Latin America.
