Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing of Metal Matrix Composites

The presentation showcases the development of cold spray additive manufacturing of hard ceramic metal matrix composite materials. Processing hard materials by Cold Spray is challenging but opens the door to new applications across various industries, including aerospace, automotive, and energy sectors. The unique properties of cold spray technology allow for the productive manufacturing of large components and the combination of non-weldable materials for repair and functionalization. The presentation highlights the development steps for additive manufacturing of ceramic metal matrix composites and showcases the achievements in material properties, as well as use-cases.
