Iron-Based Alloy Powders
Description
FOMAS Group offers a range of six standard iron-based alloy powders:
- MIMETE® M H13: Tool steel characterized by a combination of Cr, Mo and V, which guarantees high wear resistance even at high temperature together with high level of machinability.
- MIMETE® M M300: Maraging steel characterized by low C, high Co and Ni content. High hardness and high tensile strength due to intermetallic precipitation after aging heat treatment.
- MIMETE® M 316L: Non-magnetic, high corrosion resistance alloy, high toughness also at low temperature.
- MIMETE® M F51: Duplex stainless steel with relatively high content of Cr, Mo, and Ni. It shows high corrosion resistance, medium mechanical strength.
- MIMETE® M F53: Super-duplex stainless steel with high Cr, Mo and Ni content. It is resistant to extremely corrosive conditions, designed to withstand stressing condition in seawater. It has high mechanical strength.
- MIMETE® M 17-4PH: Precipitation hardening martensitic stainless steel with addition of Cu and Nb/Cb. It is characterized by high strength, hardness and corrosion resistance.
To ensure high purity and spherical powder morphology, FOMAS Group employs a Vacuum Induction Melting Inert Gas (VIGA) process using argon or nitrogen.
Also, we can supply powders in four different particle size distributions, tailored to specific technologies:
- Small: 0-20 µm
- Medium: 15-45 µm or 20-60 µm
- Large: 50-150 µm or 50-100 µm
- One Size: 0-150 µm or 0-300 µm
In addition to its standard product line, FOMAS Group offers custom metal powder solutions designed to meet specific customer needs.
