Optris infrared thermometers for spot measurements are particularly well suited for precise temperature monitoring of industrial manufacturing processes, research and development and function checks of a diverse range of devices and systems.

The wavelength 8–14 μm corresponds to the LT device type. This type can be used to measure the temperature of non-metallic surfaces, for example plastic.
