Nylon Oral Appliances: The Secret to Relaxing Jaw Tension and Enhancing Sleep

Both bruxism - a condition where you grind or clench your teeth and sleep apnea patients often discontinue their traditional treatment due to the discomfort experienced. To address these challenges while complying with demanding regulatory requirements, a biocompatible solution with high levels of customization while reducing wait times to create a better patient experience had to be found. With EOS technology the company Orthos developed an innovative nylon occlusal splint and a unique mandibular advancement device. Both solutions have since improved patient adherence to treatment and shortened waiting times. The presentation will showcase how a challenging medical application has been turned into a high potential production application case improving patients' lives.
