About us
New Infrared Technologies (NIT) is a Spanish SME which core business is manufacturing and commercializing systems for monitoring and controlling in real time industrial processes based on high-speed uncooled imagers sensitive in the Medium Wave IR spectral region (MWIR/1-5 microns). The sensors are processed by the company following its own and exclusive method. At time being, NIT is the only company in the world able to manufacture them.
The line of products of the company is based on self-designed, self-produced focal plane arrays (FPA). Based on them, NIT designs and manufacture systems for the industry, including OEM modules. The most relevant commercial products of the company are:
Solutions
- CLAMIR: It is an in line/real time monitor and control system for M-LMD processes. Since its commercial launch in 2019, CLAMIR become the reference system for most important system integrators and 3D parts manufacturers around the world.
DISCOVER IR Suite: It is an in-process quality control system specifically designed to assess the quality of HS-LMD brake disc coatings. Utilizing a unique MWIR HS infrared camera, it captures the geometry and dynamics of the melt pool using 4096 pixels to provide real-time evaluations and classification of process deviations (such as identification of dirty and defective surfaces, variations in the powder flow rate, bent powder lines, blocked injectors, and more). The analysis is based on the mathematical treatment of the temporal evolution of more than 40 features in continuous monitoring and measurement.
TACHYON 16K+: It is a high speed (>4,000 fps) uncooled Medium Wave Infrared (MWIR) Camera for controlling and monitoring industrial processes. This camera enables the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) and algorithms for developing custom solutions due to its compact size and an affordable price comparing to other MWIR cameras.
