Additive Manufacturing for SNCF Reseau : an overview

SNCF Reseau is the manager of the French rail network and as such is responsible for maintenance, modernization, and safety of the infrastructure. SNCF Reseau is an industrial player in constant search for solutions to improve asset management as well as to relieve the supply chain of the more than 50 000 parts constituting the network.

In this search for improvement, SNCF Reseau has been investigating Additive Manufacturing (AM) since 2019 with the aim of producing or supplying end-use parts. We will provide in this presentation an overview of our current work on different polymers as well as metallic AM processes and illustrate it with our latest achievements. We will also give some insight on our next steps towards industrialization.
