DISRUPTIVE METAL 3D PRINTING
The disruptive 3D printing technology ROVALMA MAM®, has been developed by ROVALMA to fully capitalize the freedom of design and environmental friendliness potential of metal additive manufacturing technology by overcoming some of the most notorious shortcomings of MAM (selection of material, performance, cost and size). Currently there are MAM technologies which achieve a large size manufactured component like WAAM but struggle in terms of performance, flexibility of design with cooling channels.
ROVALMAMAM® offers performance that surpasses the forged counterpart of the material used, extremely wide material selection (practically the only constraint is that it should be at least 10% metal) and can be used to manufacture fairly large components. In terms of cost, ROVALMAMAM® is roughly an order of magnitude more cost effective than sinter-based technologies which are in turn roughly an order of magnitude more cost effective than SLM and EBAM. In fact, ROVALMAMAM® is often more cost effective than conventional manufacturing, particularly when part weight is reduced.
