The Artec LEO currently defines what is possible in the field of mobile 3D scanning. Completely self-sufficient thanks to its integrated high-performance computer with touchscreen operation and replaceable battery, the LEO is the technical reference for hand-held 3D scanners.

In Artec Studio, the captured data is then cleaned, aligned and target/actual comparisons, as well as reverse engineering with feature recognition and CAD data export can be performed.

Another versatile 3D scanner is the Transcan C from Shining3D.
