DLS Series fiber lasers are ultra-compact and ultra-efficient solutions for industrial heating and drying applications. The DLS Series announces the arrival of solid-state heating to replace less efficient infrared bulbs and environmentally unfriendly gas fired furnaces. A diode furnace operates cold, wasting no energy warming insulating walls or the factory floor as all energy is highly directed laser light onto the media being processed. Between batches the diode furnace is off, not idling, so no energy at all is consumed when it is unneeded.

Sub-surface laser drying provides a more efficient process than a thermal convection oven, meaning a DLS system is up to 4X smaller while processing material up to 4X faster. The cool open environment is inviting to thermal metrology enabling tighter process control and benefitting from instantaneous, on-thefly temperature adjustments. The DLS is best suited to dry industrial coatings such as battery slurries, paint or powder coat. Also, diode heaters are employed when extremely tight process control is needed, such as semiconductor wafer heating.

GLPN-532-QCW and VLR-532 lasers provide ground-breaking maximum average power up to
1000 W in a perfectly single-mode output beam. These lasers take advantage of high repetition rate operation mode to allow for a high-efficiency super compact optical head. The lasers are offered as both highly cost-effective compact OEM modules and user-friendly 19” rack-mounted consoles. The optical head is connected to a water-cooled, highly-efficient and reliable fiber amplifier, pioneered by IPG. The result is a rugged, industrial-grade, high-power green fiber laser with unmatched performance and remarkable wallplug efficiency.

YLS Series lasers range from up to 120 kW output power, operating in CW or modulated modes. YLS lasers have a dynamic range from 10% to full power with no change in beam divergence or beam profile. The high brightness allows the use of long focal length processing lenses for vastly improved depth of field in applications such as remote welding. Housed in rugged air-conditioned and sealed cabinets, YLS systems are controlled by either digital I/O, analogue control or IPG own LaserNet software with the additional option to add DeviceNet, Profibus or Ethernet interfaces.
YLS systems are available with the widest range of fiber diameters, fiber lengths and a variety of multi port beam switches, allowing the laser to be shared between workstations on a time or energy basis. A wide range of beam delivery optics are tailored for use with YLS lasers, including cutting and welding processing heads, 2D and 3D high power scan heads for remote welding and wobble welding heads, which provide a variety of beam path options to suit different application requirements.

YLR Series diode-pumped CW fiber lasers provide a unique combination of high power, high stability, ideal beam quality, fiber delivery, ultra-long lifetime and record wall-plug efficiency. Single-mode output up to 3 kW may be integrated via collimator or QBH plugin connector. Standard wavelength is 1070 nm, with other wavelengths in 1006-1080 nm available upon request. Multi-mode output is emitted from a step index fiber with core diameter from 50 to 200 μm, allowing optimal performance in critical welding and additive manufacturing applications. Air-cooled units are available up to 1 kW and water-cooled units up to 4 kW.

The CW output can be modulated up to 50 kHz. The YLR compact 19”rack mounted packages offered as a cost effective, adaptable solution for a clean room system
or for integration into a production line. Featuring optional front panel touch display or standard rear
Analog, RS-232 or Ethernet controls, the rack mount configuration is ideal for a variety of applications from precision materials processing to advanced and scientific applications.
