Building a Fully Integrated Value Chain for Aerospace Metal AM

Senior Additive has rapidly matured its additive manufacturing (AM) capabilities to become a center of excellence for metal AM within the Senior PLC group. This presentation outlines how the Senior Additive team developed a fully integrated, NADCAP-accredited production ecosystem for AM Ti-6Al-4V and IN718, from powder analysis and design for AM, through in-house printing, post-processing, testing, and validation. Key production successes, including flight hardware and bleed air systems, will be highlighted, alongside data from extensive material and mechanical testing. The talk will also explore how AM benefits, such as part consolidation, design freedom, and on-demand manufacturing, are being realized across the supply chain. This case study demonstrates how AM can be industrialized at scale for critical aerospace applications.
