Über uns
Blue Power Casting Systems GmbH is a sister company of Indutherm Erwärmungsanlagen GmbH, founded in 1996
- with 28 years‘ experience in the development and production of casting machines
- with casting and melting plants in over 100 countries
- with sales and service partners in more than 60 countries
- with participation in over 40 national and international research projects with renowned institutes and universities
Blue Power offers you a wide range of systems for the production of high-quality metal powders, for casting processes with lost and permanent molds, for the production of first-class semi-finished products and for recycling.
Powder Atomization Plants
Our AUG-series Atomizers are optimized for smaller batches and frequent changes of alloy or particle size without cross-contamination and are characterized by short cycle times. You have the choice between production capacities of 1.5, 3.4, 12 and 25 liters. Depending on the version and crucible used, AUG-series systems are suitable for alloys based on Cu, Au, Ag, Sn, Fe, Co, Ni, Pd, Pt and others such as Al (on request). The melting takes place under protective gas/vacuum. High-precision temperature/process control (also remotely controlled) ensures reproducible and consistently high powder quality.
Our compact AUS 500 Atomizer solution – from alloy creation to powder within 1 hour
The Blue Power Ultrasonic Atomizer Unit enables almost anybody to produce small batches of high-quality, spherical powder for the same target application as a gas atomized powder at an affordable price and without having a complex infrastructure. The AUS 500 is available in different batch sizes from 0.25-0.7 l. The melting and alloying of the material in the crucible takes place with an indirect induction system (e.g. graphite crucible) or a direct induction system for high temperatures (ceramic crucible).
Our AUW-series Water Atomizers. Water atomized powders typically have a more irregular shape, which is advantageous for some applications such as recycling/refining processes, press & sinter processes, and others. However, producing nearly spherical fine powders by water atomization with appropriate process parameters is also possible, making the powder potentially suitable for AM applications.
Our AC-series Air Classifiers are designed for the same purpose, the economical separation of metal powders into fine and coarse material, whereby the separation point can be defined almost arbitrarily.
Casting and Melting Systems
- Compact MC-series vacuum pressure casting machines for use in R&D as well as for the casting of very small parts. Temp. up to max. 2,000 °C.
- VC-series vacuum pressure casting machines (stopper rod principle) with crucible volume of up to 25 liters. Up to 2,000 °C.
- VTC-series vacuum pressure casting machines (tilt casting systems) for high-melting alloys such as steel, platinum or titanium. Temp. up to max. 2,100 °C.
- Continuous casting plants (CC/VCC-series) for the production of high quality strips, wires, bars, tubes. Also available with vacuum function as well as cutting, sawing or coiling devices.
- Granulating plants and micro-granulating plants
- Melting plants and tilting furnaces with crucible volume up to 28 liters
All Blue Power systems are equipped with induction generators, with program control and extensive interfaces to Industry 4.0 standard that have been developed in-house. Numerous Blue Power proprietary technologies ensure the best possible results, such as the Blue Power vibration system or ingenious vacuum overpressure controls for optimized mold filling and oxidation prevention.

Blue Power AC-series Air Classifiers
Blue Power AC-series Air Classifiers for easy and reliable separation of metal powders.
The Blue Power Air Classifiers allow the economical and flexible classification of small powder batches. They are suitable for the separation of metal powders into fine and coarse powder fractions especially also in the range < 25 µm, where conventional sieving operations fail.
- Designed for research, development and small-scale production with the need for frequent change of alloys or desired particle sizes, especially also for precious and other specialty metals
- Low cleaning efforts with little metal loss and cross contamination
- High process stability
- Easy and reliable handling, precise control by touchscreen display
- Throughput up to 75 or 200 kg steel per hour (AC 1000 / AC3000 G)
- “G” versions featuring classification by clean inert gas

BLUE POWER Powder Atomization Systems
The BLUE POWER Atomization Plants for metal powder production in small to medium batches.
We can offer you three different atomizer-series to meet your individual requirements:
- Gas Atomizers (AUG)
- Water Atomizers (AUW)
- Ultrasonic Atomizers(AUS)
The Powder Atomisation Plants BLUE POWER AUG series
For fast and economic production of small batches of metal powder
The Blue Power atomisation plants have been particularly designed for the flexible and economic production of small-scale metal powder batches. Traditional large-scale production plants cannot provide this economic advantage. Frequently changing alloys in production require high cleaning efforts to avoid cross contamination. Particularly in R&D or precious metal powder applications small amounts of various kinds of powder are frequently required, often also new types of alloy powder not available on the market.
Powder characteristics and particle sizes for every request
To obtain specific metal powder characteristics and particle sizes, the AUG machines work with different easy-to-change nozzle systems: free fall and close coupled atomisation nozzles. Optionally an anti-satellite system is available.
Fine-tuning of the particle size distribution a.o. is obtained by variation of gas pressure and gas temperature (up to 450°C).
Easy-to-clean concept
Polished stainless steel surfaces prevent powder adhesions in spray chamber, cyclone and collector – all parts are easy to clean without any residues. This way the risk of metal loss and cross-contamination is reduced to minimum.
A wide spectrum of alloys
The BluePower Atomiser is generally suitable for gas atomisation of a wide spectrum of alloys; such as for example those based on Cu, Au, Ag or Sn (standard versions) as well as Fe, Co, Ni, Pd (high temperature versions). The inductive heating takes place in graphite crucibles (up to 1.600° C) or in ceramic crucibles (up to 2.000°C, direct induction heating). The crucible volumes reach from 1,500 ccm to 25,000 ccm.
Oxidation-free processing
The AUG machines offer the possibility of oxidation-free processing in the closed-chamber machine by means of de-gassing, vacuum and protective gas features.
Dynamic Differential Pressure system for constant metal mass flow
The DDP system is ensuring a constant and controllable metal mass flow, and therewith gas-to-metal ratio, independant from the melt level in the crucible.
Four different versions
Four different versions are actually available. They offer crucible volumes of 1,500, 3,400, 12,000 and 25,000 ccm.
BLUE POWER Ultrasonic Atomizer AUS 500 – from alloy creation to powder within 1 hour
In cooperation with AMAZEMET, a Warsaw University of Technology company, BLUE POWER has developed an extremely compact Ultrasonic Atomization Unit for R&D purposes and small powder batch production.
The Atomizer Unit enables almost anybody to produce small batches of high-quality, spherical powder for the same target application as gas atomized powder at an affordable price and without having a complex infrastructure.
The AUS 500 is available in different batch sizes from 0.25-0.7l. The melting and alloying of the material in the crucible takes place with an indirect induction system (e.g. graphite crucible) or a direct induction system for high temperatures (ceramic crucible).
The Water Atomization Plants AUW-series
While the Gas as well as Ultra-Sonic Atomizer Solutions are designed for the production of spherical powders by avoiding any contact with fast quenching media during particle formation, water-atomized powders typically have a more irregular shape which is an advantage for some applications like the recycling/refining process, press & sinter processes, and others.
However, it is also possible to produce almost spherical, fine powder by water atomization with appropriate process parameters, which makes the powder potentially suitable for AM applications.
Running costs of the water atomizer are significantly lower compared to other systems!
