With an installation space of 1,500 x 1,000 x 1,000 mm (LxWxH), the Kurtz Ersa Flying Ray is ideally equipped for the 3D metal printing of large components. In the basic version, eight power adaptive lasers are used simultaneously on eight swivel arms. The large-scale-printer was developed in a modular design to enable customization according to individual customer ideas and component requirements. Modular design options include for example the number of lasers, the number and length of axes, the center distance and the overlap area of the swivel arms. Another trump card is the system's scalability, which allows the system to be adapted to the customer's individual component requirements for full production output.
