The Xiris XIR-1800 Thermal Camera provides enhanced imaging of key weld zones such as the melt pool, deposited material, and surrounding base material in greater detail than standard thermal or visible-light cameras.
Capturing real-time, thermally calibrated temperature measurements from about 350 to 1800°C, the XIR-1800 will help improve in-process control and quality assurance for fabricators. Often, a key challenge in metal additive and joining processes is to monitor the size and cooling rates of the melt pool of a weld bead. With Xiris’ XIR-1800, manufacturers will be able to capture images and clearly see the melt pool even in harsh environments of smoke, fumes, and spatter.
The XIR-1800 is easy to integrate into existing processes and connects with Xiris’ newly released WeldStudio™ 3 Pro software. With the new software, users can better detect process issues using powerful thermal imaging and machine vision tools.
