Together with ISO, America Makes, and US Commercial Service, ASTM International is organizing the 5th edition of the Standards Forum at Formnext 2023 to be held on Monday, November 6 at the Frankfurt fairground. The workshop theme is ‘Unleashing the Power of Digital Thread to Advance AM’.
The workshop focuses on using digital thread concepts to drive AM industrialization in various industry sectors, increasing awareness around standardization and fostering transatlantic collaboration in the field. Some of the key discussion topics include AM workflow automation, data integrity, sharing and security, development in AM hardware, AM integration to Industry 4.0, leveraging digital thread for qualification and certification, and sustainability opportunities.
This event is comprised of technical talks, an interactive panel discussion on digital thread to enable quality assurance, and a break-out session on data generation and sharing led by industry leaders. Hear from GKN Additive, Amsight, Novanta, Siemens Energy, Boring, Oqton, MTU Aero Engines, Morf3D, Authentise, BWM, Leonardo, and more. The Standards Forum concludes with a networking session for all registrants.
